8/24/24 Honey of the Heart and Brightside Blue Opening for Dirtwire 

At The Center For The Arts - Grass Valley CA

Hey Dear Ones,

So excited to be opening for our friends at Dirtwire August 24th at the Center For The Arts in Grass Valley. Get there early to see our opening set! This is a show in support of the local tribe, the Nisenan, who are valiantly getting back a chunk of their own land here in Nevada County. This is a year of “Coming Home” for many of us, and also we are aware it is also an ongoing issue of homelessness and home-shortages and high rental and purchase rates in California. May we all find home and feel it deeply, a prayer for us all. We have a song coming out soon with this theme as well, so stay tuned for that!

What's going on with us?

We just came back from our annual Pacific Northwest Tour and are excited to create our ongoing monthly workshop in NVC and Empathy. If you are interested in this, please let us know by emailing info@honeyoftheheart.com or by signing up here:

NVC /Compassionate Communication Immersion & Practice Group

What: Integrate communication skills for more satisfying, healthy relationships. Form deeper more meaningful relationships, balance, identify and align your relationship with power

When: Last Sunday of the Month, 1 pm - 4 pm NVC Immersion, ongoing practice group, in person and online (via Zoom), including weekly empathy practice groups, optional mastermind groups and more.

How: We will explore the tools of NVC and engage in games, activities, exercises and practice to help with integration in a safe, individuated learning environment. 

Who: Maren Metke and Justin Ancheta of Honey of the heart. Maren has 30 years of experience in immersive NVC environments teaching, practicing, and consulting with groups individuals couples and families. She also has a holistic education, human development, and community-building background. Justin Ancheta has had 10 years of practicing and immersing in the NVC community through practice groups, NVC family camps & men's work that also integrated these skills.

Overnight Option: For an additional cost we have camping or room accommodations for Saturday and or Sunday night. Amenities include bathroom, fridge, hot tub and pool use. Camping: 45 per night Room Stay: 100 per night

We have some exciting news of shows coming up but won't be releasing the dates until after the Dirtwire event on 8-24-24, so please stay tuned for that as well. Thank you for all your support and efforts to continue creating a deeper connection with each other and yourself. We are strivin to do this with our music and intentions in the world and are open to ideas and feedback around how we can be more supportive and affective in this way as we progress.
