Honey of the Heart Presents an Intimate House Concert Featuring Beau Askew at The Hearth
Honey of the Heart, the dynamic Grass Valley duo known for their ambrosial blend of folk, soul, roots, and world/flamenco styles, is thrilled to announce their upcoming house concert on February 23, 2025, at The Hearth in Rough and Ready. This special evening will feature a performance by local singer-songwriter Beau Askew, whose evocative indie-folk melodies are reminiscent of Iron and Wine mixed with Nick Drake.
Honey of the Heart, comprised of Justin Ancheta and Maren Metke, has inspired audiences with their uplifting original material and organic symbiosis of melodies and rhythms. Their music weaves soaring harmonies and hypnotic polyrhythms into an alchemical semblance of groove intended for dancing, rejoicing, and blissful recalibration.
Beau Askew, a native of the Sierra Foothills, is a songwriter and drummer whose intimate vocal timbre and acoustic accompaniment pull listeners in, leaving them feeling refreshed and inspired. His songs evoke a variety of emotions, driven by the desire to share messages of love, harmony, and optimism.
The Hearth House concerts are renowned for their intimate atmosphere, fostering a sense of ritual and ceremony that enhances the musical experience. Attendees are invited to arrive at 5 PM to settle in and enjoy the ambiance. The performance will begin at 6 PM, featuring two 45-minute sets, concluding by 8 PM.
In keeping with the communal spirit of the event, soup and bread will be available for a suggested donation of $15. Limited seating is available, and the last four house concerts have sold out, so early ticket purchase is highly recommended. Presale tickets are priced at $25, and the event address will be provided upon purchase.
Experience the magic of live music in a setting that celebrates intimacy, ritual, and community. Join Honey of the Heart and Beau Askew for an unforgettable evening at The Hearth on February 23rd.
