For those of you who don’t know the background of this event happening THIS Sunday, I’ll try to be brief in my explanation ~ along about the time several weeks ago when I was in the midst of figuring out just WHAT to do for a ‘milestone’ Birthday, (can’t say I’m 39 anymore…!), like so many of us, I got caught up with the devastating news of the disastrous earthquakes in Turkey and Syria that one hardly hears anything about any more (as typical for news events…!) After a little deliberation I realized that what felt most important to do at that point was to put good skills together with a bunch of people who’d be wanting to help raise $$ for this crisis and, having organized 1/2 dozen or so events prior, decided to do a benefit/party with $ going to the excellent non-profit which does incredible work @ disasters around the globe - “Doctors Without Borders” (aka MSF)

The story goes on, however, I’ll spare you (now!) and cut to the chase (as it were!) ~~~~~~~~ (Drum Roll!)

Soooo, after much back & forth and checking various weather apps several times an hour(?!) ~~~~~ WE’RE ON! annnd, we’re happening THIS Sunday with 2 FAB bands (one which many will know from Soup - Justin Ancheta and Maren Metke's ‘Honey of the Heart’ and another great sounding dance band “Cumbia Paradiso!), as well as some fab food and wine all being donated to help with the effort! ~ (and we’ll just work & play between raindrops which look like there'll just be a few here or there?!)

Please come join in the fun, frivolity and FAB VIBES to celebrate with me and, in the process let’s contribute what we can to help in the effort for the survivors of the earthquakes…! ALSO, speaking of volunteers ~ is there a ’sound person’ who’d be open to putting in some time on the day to work sound?
